That's right, we have over 30 years experience in helping thousands of young people across Staffordshire on their apprenticeship journeys.
Our team are dedicated to finding you the best vacancy opportunities so you can start earning a wage while you train.
Our Open Events happen monthly and allow you to see exactly what we do, come and check out our live demonstrations or chat with some real apprentices in our centre.
We hope to see you soon!
How long you are on programme is completely down to you. If you do the best you can in school and get your GCSE Maths and English grade 9-4, you will be able to progress faster onto your apprenticeship.
However, we have a great education department if you need some extra support when finishing school. Good behaviour and attendance is something we expect from all learners, you never know you may even make our Learner of the Month!
We've been helping to get young people into apprenticeships for over 30 years. But don't worry, we're a friendly bunch! Our tutors are all experts in their field with years of experience. From bricklaying, plumbing, painting and decorating, business administration and more! We also have a great support network from our learner services team who will help you with any queries along the way.
"I am always proud of what I've achieved and know without attending PM Training and getting my apprenticeship I wouldn't be in the position as a Groundsman for Nottingham Forrest F.C.
Our establishment focus purely on getting you the best quality apprenticeships in the area. We have been doing it for over 30 years, so we know our stuff! When on programme you get financial support, help with driving lessons, free breakfasts and travel passes - Something not a lot of colleges can offer!
Not at all! You can start an apprenticeship from any age! Our programme is for people aged 16-18 but if you are over 19 we can still get you on to an apprenticeship in no time!
The minimum wage for an apprentice is now a minimum of £4.15 per hour. Depending on your age and how far into your apprenticeship you are, this may differ. Depending on your working hours apprentices can expect a monthly wage from £600 per month.
We work with a range of sub-contractors and we can help point you in the direction of apprenticeships in other areas such as hairdressing and theatre. Ring a member of the team on 01782 279121 and we can take you through some options.
We have 3 centres in the area, Canavan Centre (Atlas Works), Hanley Business Park and The Alan Salt Centre.
Our training centres are some of the best in the area, kitted out with the best equipment and real-life setups to get you trained for your apprenticeship. We'll teach you everything from punctuality, health and safety to what to expect in the workplace.
We have canteens in two of our training centres so you can get refueled with a cup of tea on your break!
"It’s so difficult to decide what to do at a young age, I’m so glad I chose an apprenticeship – I wish I had done it sooner! I would recommend PM Training to anyone who is unsure of what career route to take, sometimes you need to try out a certain job role to see if it’s for you. You don’t get the chance to do that at College or University.”
8/10 learners who come to PM Training progress onto an apprenticeship. We have a range of staff at PM Training and Aspire Housing who started their own careers with us as apprentices.
There are some fantastic ways you can put your foot in the door with local businesses and gain a full-time position after your apprenticeship.
