This course will help you progress onto a gas and plumbing apprenticeship, working in our state of the art bpec accredited centre, sponsored by Vaillant Boilers.

Our gas and plumbing pre-apprenticeship can last up to 12 months.

WHAT COULD I EARN ONCE QUALIFIED?

The average salary of a Level 3 qualified engineer is around £25,000 per year. 

WHO IS THIS FOR?

This pre-apprenticeship course is for anyone aged between 16-18 who has an interest in progressing their apprenticeship in gas and plumbing.

Gas and plumbing is one of the hardest sectors at PM Training but once qualified you can make a very successful career. Gas and plumbing opens the doors to all sorts of career and progression routes, not only could you work self employed, you could even look at starting your own business. 

 

WHAT YOU WILL LEARN

  • Health and safety
  • Practical pipework fabrication techniques
  • Pipework skills covering plastic, steel and copper
  • Construction skills aligned to gas installation including plastering, brickwork, and joinery
  • Basic electrical safe isolation and wiring
  • Work towards Maths and English Functional Skills, if not already achieved

PROGRESSION

This course leads onto an end-point assessment of competence and the opportunity to be placed with a local employer as an apprentice. If you choose to progress your career in gas and plumbing it's one of the most financially rewarding paths at PM Training and can lead you into a very successful career with the chance of working self employed.
