As a housing association that homes 20,000 people, a training provider that supports 2,500 people a year, and a local charity that’s dedicated to supporting local communities and individuals, we have committed to put people at the heart of everything we do, and we take pride in the diversity of our communities.
Like people all over the world, we have been shocked and deeply saddened by the tragedies and inequalities we’ve witnessed in recent years.
We recognise and understand the anger, frustration, and grief these events and the wider systemic failures have caused globally, particularly amongst BAME communities.
We stand in solidarity with Black Lives Matter, and we stand in solidarity with our BAME customers, learners, apprentices, colleagues and communities.
We commit to challenging racism, prejudice and discrimination in our communities, and we would encourage our colleagues and partners to do the same.
If you need any support regarding incidents of racial prejudice, discrimination or harassment – or if you’d like to find out how you can support – we have included some resources below.
