Apprentices Aiden Kaye and Dan Yearsley talk about an exciting start to their career in IT with Fifteen Group.
Fifteen Group are an award winning Stoke-on-Trent based telecommunications, IT and software company, offering bespoke, smart and efficient technology solutions for businesses and organisations.
Aiden, 16 from Kaverswall started studying Engineering at college but quickly realised it wasn't for him. He began looking around for other opportunities and found out about apprenticeships after being recommended PM Training by his Mum. He said: "I'm really glad I came to PM Training. I had all my qualifications before I started so I have got onto an apprenticeship quite fast really."
Aiden quickly showed great potential and began his apprenticeship with Fifteen Group as a Service Desk Engineer. He added: "I'm really looking forward to earning some money. My new role means I'm dealing with some great companies and helping them with any internet or telecommunications issues.
I don't regret going to college but I'm really glad I came to PM Training. It has really helped me get on the career ladder, without their help it could of taken me much longer to find a job."
"Both Aiden and Dan are model apprentices. They have done so well and are so eager to learn. I know they are both going to have successful careers."
Nic Hudson, Programme Manager, PM Training
Dan Yearsley, 18 from Birches Head adds: "I originally had quite a passion for tree surgery as it was something that I did with my dad. I attended college and did tree surgery as a qualification. However, my cousin came to PM Training and said how good his experience was. That was what made me want to change my mind about my career route.
I had a real passion for IT and I also wanted to progress my career in other ways. I love my role with Fifteen Group, I pretty much have the same job role as Aiden so it's great to have someone else here from PM Training to share my experience with. I never really fancied University, I'm really excited for my future and hope to stay here at Fifteen Group. I would definitely recommend PM Training to others, the staff have been great and have been really supportive."
