A career in this area can vary within day-to-day tasks but it's important to be confident taking telephone calls, have some experience using Microsoft Office and have a great personality. Employers will look for qualifications in Maths and English but gaining experience can really help in this area of work.
Skills in this area can vary, but for a basic admin role you can expect employers to seek these skills in a potential employee:
You may have a role which could be customer-facing such as being on reception or even a position where you are out and about dealing with housing customers.
Business, management and media is a vast area with a variety of apprenticeships available but they are great routes to progression!
In this area there are so many great roles you can progress into! Many of these are often management.
You could become an office manager, marketing manager, team leader, sales manager or more!
With further training, you could specialise in an area like legal, financial or medical administration.
