Role overview: 

To work under the direction and instruction of senior staff, to provide general administrative and reception duties to the organisation.

With a focus on adding value, the role of the business administration advanced apprentice is to contribute to the efficiency of the organisation. You are expected to deliver your responsibilities efficiently and with integrity – showing a positive attitude. The role involves demonstrating strong communication skills (both written and verbal) and adopting a proactive approach to developing skills and experience throughout the apprenticeship.

Support to organisation:

  • Provide routine clerical support, e.g. photocopying, filing, faxing, emailing, and scanning
  • Maintain manual and computerised records/management information systems and respond to queries
  • Undertake routine typing, word-processing on an ad hoc basis
  • Sort and distribute and record mail
  • Undertake routine administration
  • Operate office equipment e.g. photocopier, computer
  • Arrange orderly and secure storage of supplies
  • Be aware of and comply with policies and procedures
  • Be aware of, support and ensure equal opportunities for all
  • Contribute to the overall ethos/work/aims of the organisation
  • Appreciate and support the role of other professionals
  • Attend and participate in relevant meetings as required
  • Participate in training and other learning activities and performance development as required

  • Good numeracy and literacy skills with an excellent command of English grammar
